We understand that starting school is a significant moment for you and your family. We will do everything we can to ensure your child gets off to a flying start with us.
We take our responsibility for your child’s personal and academic development seriously. We value strong home-school links and recognise the positive difference they make to a child’s happiness and success.
Before starting with us, we will be holding a series of induction events in the Summer term for our parents, carers and of course for the children themselves ahead of them starting Reception in September.

‘Getting to know you’ meetings in September
1:1 parent/carer and teacher meetings will be held in September (dates TBC).
This will be an invaluable opportunity for you to share any information with us and ask any questions you may have about starting school at Norris Bank Primary School.
At the start of September following the 1:1 parent/carer and teacher meetings, the children will come in on each day either in the morning or afternoon. You will know which before the end of the summer term.
Children will start full days in school on: TBC.

Joining Norris Bank Primary School and applying for a school place
Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. We encourage all prospective Reception parents to attend one of our Open Day sessions before applying for a school place. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to tour the school, see our facilities, meet our Head of School Mrs Ponsen, and learn more about our Reception curriculum. To book your visit, please call the school office on 0161 549 7550 Spaces may be limited, so early booking is recommended. We look forward to meeting you and your family.

Thursday 5th November
Due to the volume of parental visits we receive we will not be undertaking visits to the school outside of these allocated dates due to the disruption of teaching and learning .
