School Lunches

Our school meals are provided by Dolce, a family run caterer who is passionate about providing catering services to schools throughout the UK.

We know it’s not just the food on the plate that is important – but a real understanding of health and nutrition, and so all of our food is prepared fresh from raw ingredients every day in our kitchen. We take special care to ensure dietary requirements are catered for, and we’re committed to helping to develop great eating habits in our pupils by providing nutritious, tasty and tantalising dishes. Of course, it is possible for pupils to bring a packed lunch if they would prefer.

Ordering meals
Those ordering meals from Dolce will need to use their SchoolGrid account to be able to make informed choices by viewing the termly menu and any theme day menus along with the recipes, allergens, and ingredients; and to make payments.

Orders can be made either day by day, or up to a full term in advance. The cut-off for ordering is 8.55am each day.

Please contact the School Office with general queries, or go direct to [email protected] or 01506 300 310 with SchoolGrid queries.

Important Allergy Information

As Dolce is an external catering provider – it is it vital that information about allergies and any other dietary requirements is input directly into the SchoolGrid account so that the allergen system blocks certain meal options.

Allergy-awareness is a high priority in schools as several pupils have severe allergies – including nuts. For this reason – whilst we cannot guarantee a truly allergen free environment – foods containing nuts are discouraged from being brought into school. The following list is not exhaustive but gives an idea of the types of items that should not be brought into school: no items such as sandwiches, cakes, bagels etc. containing peanut butter, no Nutella or hazelnut spreads (chocolate spread sandwiches), no packets of nuts (mixed nuts, cashews, pistachios, etc.), no pesto containing pine nuts and no chocolate bars or fruit or cereal bars containing nuts (e.g. tracker bars).

Reusuable Water bottles

In keeping with our Eco initiatives, we encourage pupils to come to school with plain, still or sparking water in a reusable and refillable bottle.
