School Lunches

Our school meals are provided by Dolce, a family run caterer who is passionate about providing catering services to schools throughout the UK.

We know it’s not just the food on the plate that is important – but a real understanding of health and nutrition, and so all of our food is prepared fresh from raw ingredients every day in our kitchen. We take special care to ensure dietary requirements are catered for, and we’re committed to helping to develop great eating habits in our pupils by providing nutritious, tasty and tantalising dishes. Of course, it is possible for pupils to bring a packed lunch if they would prefer.

Ordering Meals

Families ordering meals from Dolce will need to use their SchoolGrid account. This allows you to:

  • View the termly menu and any theme day menus
  • Access recipes, allergens and ingredients
  • Make payments securely

Meals can be ordered daily or in advance for the whole term. Please note that the cut-off time for ordering is 8.55am each day.

For general queries, please contact the School Office. For any issues related to SchoolGrid, you can reach out directly to [email protected] or call 01506 300310.

Important Allergy Information

As Dolce is an external catering provider, it is vital that any allergy or dietary requirement information is entered directly into your SchoolGrid account. This ensures that the allergen management system can automatically block unsuitable meal options.

Allergy awareness is a high priority in our school, as several pupils have severe allergies, including to nuts. While we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment, we strongly discourage foods containing nuts from being brought into school.

The following list is not exhaustive but gives an idea of items that should not be brought into school:

  • Sandwiches, cakes, bagels, etc. containing peanut butter
  • Nutella or other hazelnut-based spreads (e.g. chocolate spread sandwiches)
  • Packets of nuts (e.g. mixed nuts, cashews, pistachios)
  • Pesto containing pine nuts
  • Chocolate bars or fruit/cereal bars containing nuts (e.g. Tracker bars)

Thank you for helping us keep all children safe.

Reusable Water Bottles

In keeping with our Eco initiatives, we encourage pupils to come to school with plain, still or sparking water in a reusable and refillable bottle.
