Welcome to Year 4
Welcome to Year 4 at Norris Bank Primary School!
Meet the Team
Our teaching team includes Mrs Edevane (Class Teacher) and Mr Stirling (Class Teacher).
Our Bookshelf
Here are a few of our Norris Bank recommended reads for September:
- Death Sets Sail by Robin Stevens
- Worst. Holiday. Ever. by Charlie Higson
- The Highland Falcon Thief by M. G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman
- The 13-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths
These books are available at our school library, or one of the Stockport libraries. Another brilliant reading resource is the ‘Borrowbox’ app, which is free with a Stockport library membership. It is like a free version of ‘Audible’ where hundreds of children’s audiobooks or eBooks can be downloaded.
Residentials & Trips – Northumberland
Children from Norris Bank were the first school group ever to stay at the multi-million pound development, ‘The Sill’, located in the middle of Hadrian’s Wall country. However, we had been taking children to this unique environment to support their learning in History about The Romans in Britain since 2009. The children get to witness live archaeology at Vindolanda and walk an iconic section of The Hadrian’s Wall National Trail to Housteads Fort. A mystery visitor and a trip to The Roman Army Museum complete this taste of life at the edge of The Roman Empire.
